What is this?
A calculator for KTU attendance. Enter the attended and total hours for a subject and it tells you if you are safe, how many hours you can still miss, or how many classes you need to attend to get back to 75%.
How does it help?
It shows a shortage while there is still time to fix it. Most students find out in the last month of the sem, when the only options left are a condonation fee or repeating the sem.
Where do I get the hours from?
Your department attendance sheet, the KTU portal, or your college ERP. Use hours, not the number of periods. A three hour lab counts as three.
What are 65% and 60% for?
75% is what you need to write the exam. Below that, condonation may be given down to 65%, and in some cases 60%, with a fee and usually a reason. Pick a target above to see the numbers for that band.
Is this official?
No. It is only a calculator. Your college attendance sheet is the one that counts, so check it before you act on anything here.
